According to Deadline, X-Men actress Famke Janssen joined in to play the leading role in Netflix’s forthcoming psychological thriller novel titled Locked In. Added to her work will Sanditon star Rose Williams, who will portray her newlywed daughter-in-law Janssen. Production is already being performed in the UK.
Locked In will play Nour Wazzi’s directorial debut. It was written by a half-women, Rowan Joffe. In addition to Janssen and Williams, it will also star Finn Cole (Peaky Blinders), Alex Hassell (Violent Night) and Anna Friel (Pushing Daisies).
The film will be about a unhappy newlywed Lina who will attack her badly damaged mother-in-law, Katherine, reads the synopsis. This affair puts Lina on a journey of hiding, betraying and murder, and a plot to seemingly destroy her. But who’s the only one who has been victim and who can trust him?
Locked In was produced by Nicky Bentham. Alison Jackson became a director. It’s from Neon Films and Gaumont.
Janssen is best known for his portrayal of the iconic figure of Jean Grey and his Dark Phoenix in the Fox Fox X-Men series 20th century. The action-action thriller Boy Kills World, directed by Sam Raimi, will become an important movie.
