The three battles leading up to the final are relatively easy, so when you approach the temple where they are the merchant (3) You should still have the rest stop available (circled on the map above, on the east side of the map). Make sure you complete all of the following steps. before using the rest stop. I have numbered them on the map.

    1. Visit the lasting Protection Sanctuary (in the cemetery). While in the graveyard, notice that one of the graves has a glowing sword sticking out. If you click on it, you will meet the ghost of Sir Edgar and he will ask you a riddle. The answer to the riddle is harold and the reward is the sword Dawnbringer. While fun, the sword does not appear in your rewards at the end of the quest and its purpose is so far unclear.
    2. Visit the lasting Blessed Sanctuary (in the swamps). You can’t get to this until you’ve crossed the bridge at the top of the map.
    3. talk to Wigbert the ghost (behind the temple, see below).

When you talk to the ghost, Wigbert, he will ask you for some life force. Let him take this from his unit with the highest percentage of health remaining, as will take 75 percent vitality. This is worth it as the ghost will take out three units outside the building, so you’ll have less to worry about. Can now visit the rest stop and recover that vitality. You should be in full health (or close to it) and ready to go. Having high armor is not a factor to worry about in this battle.

Note that the battle with Knight guarding the chest You arrive before the temple is there. optional. If this results in you not having enough power for the merchant battle, remember that you can always return to the knight afterwards or skip it entirely. It’s just a chest and you’ll still get full XP for completing the quest.

    Save Trader Mission Team Settings

None of these skill options are essential to your success, so don’t worry if you’ve set up your team very differently. However, this build will work perfectly with the following battle tactics:

    • Fell: Strike Skills (with Sinister Strike and Vulnerability) and Jump Attack (with Long Rush), with Spiked Blade, Strength and All Resistance. This build adds additional damage and allows you to cover more distance with Jump Attack. It’s a basic build, but the other characters have the complexity to allow a simple, mobile melee DPS to thrive.
    • Octavian: Base level skills Strike, Shield Bash, and Wall of Blades, plus Robust and Block Aura. This makes him an excellent tank, while Wall of Blades increases his damage nicely.
    • Plutonium: Grave Conduit (with murderous intent), Unholy Chain (with long bindings), and Death Hex abilities, as well as Necrosis (with decay and impending doom). This makes him an amazing DPS machine with DOT as an added bonus.
    • albino: Strike, Balance, Fire Bird and Fire Strike Skills (all at the base level), plus Protection Aura and Ignition. This gives you maximum DOT power along with sufficient survivability.
    • florian: Since Florianus joins you during this mission, you do not have the opportunity to alter his abilities.

Save the merchant mission battle strategy

Now you are ready for battle. Go past where you met the ghost Wigbert and continue. around the side of the temple until you reach the ruined temple wall (see above and the arrow marks on the map above). Use this entrance to start the battle. When you choose your starting positions, place Fell to the left and Octavian to the right in the first row; place florian behind them to have a clear line of sight.

Send Octavius towards the temple gates to confront the Marauder Knight there and use all your DPS firepower (plus Plutonius’ Unholy Chain if you have it) on the two units towards the back of the temple (where the merchant is ). Send Gaius that way to finish off the units still standing. See the image above to see what this should look like.

You must save the merchant to win the battle. At this point, a man hunter He will have entered the temple from the other side. This is one of the only two ranged units left, so it should be your priority as no other units should be able to get close to the merchant from here. The Manhunter has a DOT poison, so it cannot be allowed to hit the merchant. Plutonius (Death Hex) and Florianus (Javelin Throw) can take out the Manhunter between them.

This allows Fell to advance down the central hallway of the temple, blocking any chance for melee units to reach the merchant. With Octavian By occupying the units that came in through the front door, it’s just a matter of cleaning up what’s left. The image above shows the end of turn two, when albino has released Fire Birds. Just keep in mind that there is one Manhunter left outside, but Albina’s Fire Strikes can easily deal with it.
