You begin the mission by being immediately thrown into a battle in Area 1. You will face 10 living dead, all of whom are weak and have no special abilities. As long as you keep an eye on its range (which is weak) and prepare with Overwatch instead of leaving yourself vulnerable to attacks, you should be able to come out of the battle completely unscathed. There is no enemies at a distance and without additives.

There is no loot in the area and the only point of interest is a Statue of Vesta (which grants no benefits). There is only one exit out of the room, so move forward.

    Destroy the totems

    Image from MyFullGames

Upon entering the next area (Area 2 on the map above), you will see a character floating in a blue glow between four totems. Again, you will trigger an inevitable battle upon entering. The best tactic here is Destroy the totems as quickly as possible.. Each totem can spawn more undead at the end of each turn, so the faster you clear them out, the fewer adds you’ll have to deal with (the two totems in opposite corners activate together).

If a totem is adding a creature at the end of the turn, a blue pentagram It will appear on the ground next to it on the previous turn (see above), giving you a turn to destroy it beforehand. You will have to eliminate all enemies to complete the battle, and one is quite difficult (a lost knight with strong armor and 20+ vitality). Once completed, the blue glow will dissipate and Albina Virgila will join your party. Now there will also be a chest to open in the area (marked on your map in green).

    Exploring the colony

Exit the southern area to enter a small courtyard (Area 3). There’s a Resting place here but you shouldn’t need it yet. There are three rest points in The Colony, but it’s best to save them for later as more difficult challenges await.

Exit this area to the south (to Area 4) and you’ll get a cutscene where Albina explains how to complete this quest. Don’t start the mission yet. Instead, after the cut scene, head east along the wall, avoiding red squares marked with swords (see image above). If you touch them you will start a battle but they are easy to avoid.

When you reach the pile of bones (pictured above), head north to the Bathhouse (Area 5). This is another safe zone that has the second Resting place (through the narrow dead end that goes east) and also the only Sanctuary in the map. This gives one of your units Lasting Bliss (+25 percent damage) until the end of the mission, so it’s best to avoid other battles until you have it. I give it to Gaius, but it’s a big boost for any of your units.

From here you have three options. These can be made in any order you choose and only Relighting the Vista Fire is required to complete the mission.. If you want to complete all three areas, which will give you the most loot chests, I suggest the following order:

    1. The market: This is relatively simple and, if played correctly, shouldn’t be too much of a challenge.
    2. The amphitheater: This is the most difficult challenge. If you end up with only one rest stop left before completing it, use it and move on to Reignite the Vista.
    3. Reignite the Vista fire: You can sacrifice your units during this, as only Albina needs to survive and you can return to base immediately afterward (where everyone will be restored to full health).

Once you click Finish the mission (available any time after completing Reignite the Vista fire), you will not be able to return to any of these mission locations.

    The market and the curse

If you exit Area 3 to the west, you will enter the Market (Area 7). To enter, Albina will be cursed with weakness.. This will reduce his damage by 33 percent for the rest of the mission unless you heal him. You can simply choose not to enter the Market at all, but if you want to complete it completely, including all the treasure chests, move south to the market (after being cursed) to be attacked.

You’ll start with a couple of units to the north and many more to the south. Quickly eliminate the northern units by weakening them with Albina’s power. fire attacks and then finish off the others, one each, with your other three units. Now you can regroup around the piles of trash you start next to and wait for the rest to come towards you. There is more than 10 additional units to the south but without further additions.

All units only have melee attacks and all but one (the lost knight) they are weak. The best tactic is to line up Gaius, Octavio and Albina, with Plutonio behind them (see above). This stops any attacks from behind and limits the number of enemies that can attack in a turn. Note that it is necessary to kill the Lost Knight twice (the second time while he is down, within three turns of your initial death). Otherwise, he will revive.

Once you’ve defeated all the enemies, head south through the market and down the alley in the southeast corner (marked with an X on the map above). there you can lift Albina’s curse interacting with the glowing corpse (see image above).

    The amphitheater

    Image from MyFullGames

If you leave the bathhouse area to the north, you will enter the Amphitheater (Area 6) and talk to his spirit. The spirit will challenge you to take on three challenges (battles). These are completely optional but each one will reward you with a treasure chest upon completion. You can stop after any challenge, go to use the rest points, and return to continue at any time during the mission. You must defeat all units in each battle but there are no adds.

    • Amphitheater Battle 1: The Gladiator in the center is the only tough opponent. He is facing the only ranged unit (a Manhunter), which can deal annoying damage if not dealt with quickly. Unholy Chain the Manhunter and Gladiator with Plutonius and then use his Death Hex on the Gladiator. Attacking the Gladiator with the other three units should kill them both. From there, eliminating weak units is easy.
    • Amphitheater Battle 2: There are only six opponents in Battle 2 but they are all a little tougher. There is no need to leave the defenses you start behind, as you can use them as additional defense and to avoid being attacked by multiple units. There is only one ranged unit (Painted Archer), so Unholy Chain him as soon as possible. Otherwise, stay back and use Overwatch to ambush them while they attack you.
    • Amphitheater Battle 3: The Spirit joins you for the final battle. The Spirit (called Gladiator) has enormous Armor and Vitality, but so does one of your opponents (The Summer Knight). Start the Gladiator at the north end of the starting area and place your units at the south end. Move the Gladiator towards the Summer Knight and put him in a defensive position while you deal with the other units. Once this is done, you can join in and help take down the Knight.

You can collect treasure chests from completed battles (marked on the map in green, on the east side of the arena) at any time.

    Reignite the Vista fire

    Image from MyFullGames

When you are ready, return to Area 4. As soon as while you touch a red sword square The battle will begin and that marks your starting position for the battle. Position is important here, so it is necessary Choose wisely where to start.

You need light the five torches in the battle area to complete the mission. Unlike the previous battle to free Albina, as soon as Light the fifth torch and all remaining enemies will die.. Each torch has several pink squares next to it and when Albina stands on one of these spaces (as shown above), the torch will automatically light up. This does not use any AP but Only Albina can light the torches.so keeping her alive is a victory condition.

Announcements will arrive regularly and this cannot be stopped. To make matters worse, undead killed here must die twice or else they will be resurrected with full vitality after three turns. When you kill them, they will get a purple health indicator. Reduce this to zero and they won’t come back. I advise you to only do this if you have AP to spare and have left one of your units alone as a decoy. This battle is a race. so it will be better to spend your time moving on to the next torch.

    Torch Battle Tactics

    Screenshot of pro game guides

You can see all five torch locations on the map above (marked as red squares in Area 4). There is no right way to do this, as the order in which you light the torches does not matter and does not affect the adds. Starting above the north central torches allows you to get two very quickly and then work clockwise around the central structure to get the rest.

The benefit of this approach is aggregates are slow and will tend to follow you around the central building without actually catching up with you, as long as you work as a team to defeat the units in front of you and keep moving. You also get a Movement Bonus every time Albina lights a torch. Leaving a unit behind (see Gaius above) to slow them down is also a valid tactic. You should be able to light all the torches in about six rounds.

When Albina lights the last torch, the remaining units will be destroyed. You will see a chest marked on your map just south of the central flame. Once collected, you can finish the mission. Alternatively, if you have yet to complete the Amphitheater or Market areas, you can optionally do so now.
