After 20 years, Ash and Pikachu will be replaced in Pokemon anime

    The Pokemon Company confirmed today a new season of popular anime with a new focus on Paldea, but with one too small thing missingAsh and Pikachu are nowhere to be seen.

    The popular duo have been officially retired from the Pokemon Company for over 20 years, leaving many fans in shock and heartbroken knowing arguably the two characters that have been known for the entire Pokemon franchise since the 1990s are bowing out.

    Instead, Ash and Pikachu will be replaced by two newcomers named Riko and Roy when the show returns next year in April 2023, with the main Paldea starters Sprigatito, Feucoco, and Quaxly being the main Pokemon over the ever-popular Pikachu.

    Upon signing the announcement, a mini-series, which will focus on Ash, Misty, and Brock, will debut on Jan 13, 2023, to celebrate all your favorite Pokemon master. This series is titled Pokemon Aim To Be A Pokemon Master and will be the last time fans can see Ash before it will arrive.

    For a lot of Pokemon fans, who have been with Ash since their childhoods, all eyes will go to new characters for a chance to see if they can fill the gap left by everyones beloved trainer and Pokemon duo.
