Buff Studio Co., Ltd. has officially launched Scale and Defense on iOS and Android, offering a new tower defense-esque dungeon crawler experience with roguelike elements. Basically, you’ll need to expand your dungeon and defend it from raiders using traps to keep those pesky “heroes” at bay.
In Scale and Defense, the tables turn as you try to fend off pesky knights trying to disrupt the peace of your dungeon. Trap these waves of heroes and prevent them from ever coming back, whether you’re burning these knights in a blaze of fire or giving them a slow and painful death with poison darts. It doesn’t seem fair that they are attacking you for no reason.
You’ll also be able to command your own army of scale warriors who can help you take down your intruders. You’ll have plenty of perks before each new stage to keep things fresh. And if you’re feeling a little more adventurous, you can test your skills in endless mode to see how many waves you can handle.
Based on the trailer, it also looks like the heroes have a few laughs of their own here and there – one knight even comments that he promised his daughter he’d be home soon. Paradoxically, it doesn’t look like he’ll ever make it home – not while you’re around, right?
