The medieval sandbox game Life’s Feudal died just a small amount early, second in January 2021, then it was October 2022 that a Chinese version was shuttered, so most fans of the game moved to that place.
Although the game was known as Long Tale Games, a self-described publisher that was able to build a new long-story project under a new sauce, it appears that it made real life a little more difficult. This new sauce seems to be available by means of a number of partnership and publishing services, but the company also is primarily interested in working with the Web3.
That Discord does not have any other information and news, so its main chat channel is full of LiF fans waiting impatiently for any new word. Both of us are using the old Bitbox Ltd.
As well as the possibility of LiFs return, there’s also a SEC filing, posted by Snail Games in October, which is quite a bit confusing in terms of its public offering of three million shares of stock. This form is relevant here because one point is, in the document, reference to a partnership with Bitbox to produce Life is Feudal II, a sandbox surviving game set in medieval times. There’s no other information available at the moment about this project, either through Snails and Twitter or Bitboxs.
