Mauricio Pochettino, a former head coach of PSG and Tottenham, described Lionel Messi and Diego Maradona as the legendary former captain of the Argentinian national team.

I know how it feels to manage Messi, I have had him last season in PSG. He re-incarnated me like Maradona. You admire him from the inside out and think he is the best player in the world. He’s the type of player that makes you smile and feel proud when you play soccer. You can call him special, superhuman or superplayer. And when you meet players such as Maradona, you can simply admire them. So Messi is a player who knows everything.

He can understand all that is happening on the field and what the team needs. And if you don’t have it like Maradona, you have to enjoy it. It’s incredible seeing him there, and training to 90 minutes or two hours with you, said Pochettino.

As you know, on Sunday, December 18 the Argentina national team will play with the French team in the 2022 world cup final. The game is starting at 19:00 Kyiv.

Pochettino compared Mbappe to the legendary Brazilian Ronaldo.
