The Golden Apple is a rare resource in Hades 2 locked behind a boss fight. I’ll show you where to get golden apples and what to do with them in Hades 2.
Where to get the golden apple in Hades 2
The Golden Apple is located in the Thessaly Rift on the surface. First, you’ll have to get through several enemy ships, get through two Charon ships, and potentially even fight Charybdis. On the second ship driven by Charon, you will see a door with a golden apple.
Entering this door will take you to the Eris boss fight. It is one of the most difficult in the game because it is fast and is armed with Railed Adamanent. Those who can successfully defeat Eris will receive the Golden Apple.
In the Early Access version of Hades 2, you will immediately return to Crossroads after this fight. You’ll have to beat her three times to get enough Golden Apples for the current two uses.
What is the golden apple used for in Hades 2?
The first way to use the Golden Apple is to unlock the Eos Aspect for the Umbral Flames weapon. The Aspect of Eos causes your attack to strengthen for four seconds and return to you every time you dash. Damage starts at an additional 40% and increases by 10% for each rank.
The second use of Golden Apples is to unlock the Divinity Arcana Card. The Divinity card gives all blessings a 10% chance to be epic as long as you have activated 5 Tarot cards in any row. Costs 40 Ashes and 1 Golden Apple. Upgrading it will increase the chances of the perks being epic.
