Trinkets are gifted to players in Hades 2 after giving special nectar bottles to NPCs. I’ve compiled a list of the best Hades 2 trinkets to help you use them efficiently in your next run.
List of the best Hades 2 trinkets
This list does not include trinkets related to God and Goddess blessings because they depend on how you play and who you like. Instead, it contains the best Hades 2 trinkets that any player can benefit from. If you are missing any of these, I recommend giving Nectar to their respective characters so you can use them whenever you want.
knuckle bones
Received from: Odysseus at the crossroads
If you’re having trouble taking out Guardians but don’t have the right circumstances to use the Evil Eye, Knuckle Bones are a great option. Both reduce the damage you take from Guardians, such as Hecate and Scylla, and decrease the health of the Guardian you fight after equipping it. This gives you a slight advantage that can mean the difference between life and death in a fight. Increasing the range of Knuckle Bones will increase the amount of health the first Guardian loses at the start of their fight. I recommend equipping it right before facing a Guardian you’re having trouble with.
Luckiest tooth
Received from: Schelemeus at the crossroads
For players of the original Hades, the Lucky Tooth Trinket is used exactly like Skelly’s Lucky Tooth. When you die from an enemy’s attacks, Luckier Tooth will revive you once with a designated amount of health. The amount of health depends on the rank of the luckiest tooth. It’s useful in a pinch if you haven’t unlocked Death Defiance or already used yours.
To eye
Received from: Nemesis at the crossroads
Evil Eye Trinket allows players to deal additional damage to the enemy that killed them in their previous run. The amount of damage you deal depends on the range the Trinket is at. If you complete a run by killing Eris or Chronos, this trinket will continue to apply its effect to the last enemy that killed you. I don’t recommend starting with this trinket because its biggest use is fighting bosses you just lost to. For example, I mainly used Evil Eye against Eris after dying to her the night before. It allowed me to take her out much more efficiently due to the damage buff. Get the cauldron upgrade that allows you to trade trinkets between areas and equip the evil eye before fighting the boss that defeated you for the best results.
Moonlight
Received from: selene
I’ve found that Selene’s hexes are the most powerful moves in the game. Equipping Moon Beam at the start of a run is a great way to boost these hexes quickly. It depends on being lucky enough to find several of Selene’s “blessings” throughout the map, so be sure to select her whenever possible. After choosing a hex, Moon Beam allows players to unlock additional upgrades each time they meet Selene. For example, let’s say you meet Selene after grabbing a Hex and she lets you choose three upgrades. With a Rank 3 Moon Beam equipped, you’ll be able to choose six upgrades instead of three! Once you’ve upgraded your Hex enough, swap out the trinkets for something more suitable for your next objective.
crystal figurine
Received from: Circe on the Thessaly fault
The Crystal Figurine Trinket activates inactive arcane cards after players defeat a Guardian. If you’ve unlocked a lot of Arcane Cards, you’ll have a lot of luck with this one. The higher the rank of the figure, the stronger the activated Arcane Cards will be. However, this Trinket may become less useful as you increase your Grip and unlock and upgrade the Arcane Card of Judgment. You can combine the two to activate all of your Arcane Cards in a single run, but those in the later stages of the game may want to stick with just the Judgment card.
transcendent embryo
Received from: Primordial Chaos
The usefulness of the blessings of Chaos is only diminished by the punishments they inflict on you in order for you to receive them. The Transcendent Embryo prevents this by giving you direct access to a random Chaos Blessing. The only drawback is that the blessing changes after eight encounters. Increasing the rank of the embryo will increase the rarity of the blessings you receive. If you prefer the hammers of Daedalus to the blessings of Chaos, I recommend using the memory of Icarus.
