The Genshin Impact Vulture Volans Chapter Act I – The Illusions of the Mob is Alhaitham’s Story Quest, which focuses on investigating forbidden investigations surrounding the collective consciousness. How to unlock the Alhaitham story quest in Genshin Impact
To unlock Act I of the Vulture Volans chapter – The Illusions of the Mob, you must first complete Archon Quest Chapter III: Act V – Akasha Pulses, Kalpa Flame Rises. Once this is done, head over to the search menu, then click on story missions at the bottom left of the screen. you must spend a story key to unlock the Alhaitham Chapter.

While playing Alhaitham’s Story Quest, you will be required to enter the Secret Cavern Domain in Apam Woods. before entering please prepare a team ready for battle since you will have to defeat some opponents inside. And once you’re inside, plunge down and follow the quest marker to start the first scene/dialogue.

Make your way to the heart of the research base.
Once this is done, you will be prompted to head into the heart of the research base. Start by following the quest marker to the next house up ahead. This will activate a fragment of Ilyas’s memory.
The game will present you with a key puzzle. You need to interact with the glowing blue orb on the monument to get the key, then interact with the red padlock on the wall to insert it. Doing so will cause the barrier to disappear, allowing you to proceed further inside.
The next part is a bit tricky as you need to go back and forth between the keys. First, take the key and insert it into the lock of the left to remove the left side of the barrier
Enter from the left, then turn right to loot a common chest. You can’t get this back after leaving the Domain, so be sure to loot it right away.
Then turn left to find another key. pick it up but don’t put it in the lock next to it. Instead, turn right (to the previous Common Chest location) and place the Key in the lock next to the half barrier.
Both sides of the barrier should now be spread out. From the outside, your game should look like the image above. You need interact with the key in the exterior lock (circled above) to remove it. This will force the barrier to form again.
This time, enter from the right side, then remove the key we previously placed The barrier will form again. you should be holding two keys in this point.
next turn left and put the key in the lock, which will make the barrier disappear. There will be another block ahead – do the same and place the second key to disperse the barrier.
Ahead is a small enemy camp. Defeat them to unlock the exquisite chest. Don’t forget to loot it, as you won’t be able to loot it anymore after leaving the Domain. Once this is done, follow the quest marker and keep going until you find a bright area with a platform waiting for you.
Interact with the platform to start moving. It will stop from time to time to generate some dialog, but it just interact with him again to keep moving. Once you arrive at your destination (with a house in front of you), move along a few steps to make it play another fragment of Ilyas’s memory.

In this segment, you must use four-bladed Sigils to navigate. Hook yourself to the first four-bladed Sigil and interact with the monument to get the first key. Then hook onto the next nearby four-leaf seal to pick up the second key. You should two keys floating around you at this point.
Hook the four-leaf seal next to the barrier, where you will find the first padlock on the left. Place the key in the lock to disperse the barrier. You still have a key with you right now.
You should then follow these steps in the exact order:
- Place the key in lock #2.
- Remove the key from lock #1.
- Remove the key from lock #2.
By following these steps, the barrier will form again, but you’ll be inside and can move on. you should also have two keys floating around him again, as these are needed to disperse the oncoming barriers.
Continue deeper into the cave. Place a key in the lock to disperse the barrier. Then go up the steps and place the second key in the second lock to disperse another barrier. Keep moving forward to activate another fragment of Ilyas’s memory.
Once this is done, follow the quest marker to the clearing where Ilyas is waiting for you. You will engage in a long dialogue between him, Alhaitham and Siraj.
Defeat opponents
This segment is easy. Siraj will summon a few waves of enemies, mostly Slimes, mushrooms, and a weaker Jadeplume Terrorshroom. Just defeat them all to continue. Don’t forget that you can use Alhaitham as a test character. Once the battle is over, a lengthy dialogue and cutscene will ensue. Complete them all to still complete the Mastery. Don’t forget to loot the precious chest before leaving
You will be able to continue with Alhaitham’s Story Quest. As a bonus, don’t forget to check out the library at his house. after the search is over to experience the additional dialogue between Alhaitham and Kaveh.
