Medieval first-person hack-and-slash shooter Chivalry launched in 2021, but recent patches have given it new life thanks to the promise of cross-platform party play. A beta version of the new system was introduced in Content Update 2.7, and players were warned that there could be bugs and issues. However, it seemed to work fine until the official release of the system in Content Update 2.8 in May 2023. Now players are having new issues with inviting friends which doesn’t work in Chivalry 2. However, there is a fix that works for some players. .
Fixed Chivalry 2 party invite friends system
While not ideal, the following workaround currently allows players to team up in Chivalry 2:
- Take each other out of your friends lists in you platform.
- Add your friends back in the game using the Chivalry 2 code system.

Unfortunately if then re-add your friends on your console, this will return break the system. This seems to be a widespread problem for PlayStation players and since this was touted as a major part of this content update, and a feature many players have been looking forward to, I can’t imagine it being more than a few days sooner. this problem gets a hotfix patch in another mini update.
Until then, we suggest that you be patient and wait. It’s been a couple of years in development, so while a few more days are frustrating, at least we’re almost there.
