Indie horror game Amanda the Adventurer will launch on mobile and gaming consoles later this year. Created by Ontario, Canada-based game developer MANGLEDmaw Games, Amanda the Adventurer was released on Steam last year, where it received overwhelmingly positive reviews.

You play as Riley Parker, who after inheriting her Aunt Kate’s house, finds an old TV in the attic along with a stack of old VHS tapes. Examining the tapes, you realize that these are episodes of a children’s cartoon from the early 2000s but not one you’re familiar with. You decide to pop one of these tapes into the VCR, and so begins your terrifying adventure.

Riley soon finds herself uncomfortable with the way Amanda and her sheepish sidekick Woolly are speaking directly to them. Amanda wants something, Riley goes crazy with tapes of this weird kids cartoon.

This exciting horror game features terrifying escape room-style puzzles that you’ll solve using clues hidden in VHS tapes. You will explore your new home and see disturbing tapes as you uncover the truth behind the tapes. Just make sure you do everything Amanda tells you, or she might get angry.

DreadXP, the publisher that brought the game to Steam, is also bringing the game to mobile. The company is best known for publishing horror titles such as My Friendly Neighborhood, Soccer for Love and The Mortuary Assistant.

Amanda the Adventurer will be available this year for Android, iOS and all major gaming consoles. If you’re interested in checking out this awesome horror game, you can download a free demo of the game via Steam.
