A shot featuring hostages in the Makarov trailer showed the Stadium from Verdansk. You can clearly see the football team logo in the image above, and it matches the one from the classic Warzone map. From this teaser, players can expect Verdansk to be featured in some capacity in Modern Warfare 3. Perhaps we will get to see this map during the campaign mode, and later on in battle royale.
As for Makarov, he is an old nemesis CoD veterans will remember from Modern Warfare 2 (2009). His return in the latest MW3 changes the whole dynamic with Task Force 141. Price, Ghost, Soap, and their team will be after Makarov, so you can expect a few nerve-racking missions in the MW 3 campaign. Activision’s official blog also highlighted the return of Zombie game modes in Modern Warfare 3 with player inventory carried forward from MW2.
