Housing is one of Final Fantasy XIV’s big selling points, as players fight for hours to save up the Gil to purchase their first piece of land. But to prevent the limited number of frames from running out or going unused, Final Fantasy XIV uses automatic demolition. When the release of Endwalker caused excessive queues, Final Fantasy XIV disabled the automatic demolition of housing plots.

On Wednesday, March 9, 2022, the resumption of the automatic demolition of housing lots was announced, according to a Tweet from the official final fantasy XIV Twitter. But, just a month later, this was invested. Automatic home demolition has since been disabled.

However, on December 16, 2022, it was announced that house demolition would resume as of the release of patch 6.3. This was announced in the official Final Fantasy XIV. Twitter.

The automatic demolition is aimed at players who have not entered their state for at least 30 days. This timer will start from the release of patch 6.3.

However, for farms and houses that have not been entered during the suspension period (the time automatic demolition was disabled), the demolition counter will count 30 days from December 6. This means that these estates will be scheduled for demolition on February 4, 2022. Players who fall into this category will be sent an email warning them of the impending Demolition.

Once a farm is marked for demolition, a timer will begin that typically lasts seven to nine days. You have until the time expires to enter your estate. However, Square Enix claims that the timer is not exact and that the deletion may occur near the end of the timer. Therefore, it is better to make sure that you head to your Estate as soon as possible. For more details, please refer to the official to post.

Remember that to pause/reset the timer, you must physically enter your home or farm. Simply entering the outer grounds or interacting with items or retainers on the outside of the Estate will not reset time. Be sure to keep your hard-earned house!
