    • Hit RPG Afterplace is making its way to Steam.
    • Check it out when it launches later this year.
    • We gave Afterplace a glowing review when it was released.

Popular mobile game Zelda-like Afterplace is set to make the jump from mobile to Steam, as the game releases later this year. After Place is a top-down RPG in rig games such as The Legend of Zelda. We gave Afterplace a sterling review when it was first released for iOS, and it was a favorite of our app army.

In this seemingly adorable RPG, you’ll explore an open world filled with enemies to battle, NPCs to meet, and areas to explore, all rendered in gorgeous Luffy pixel art. But let’s just say that the seemingly heartbreaking nature of this world isn’t quite what it seems, and things are going to get a lot stranger as you progress.

    Something is very, very wrong.

Other than that there isn’t much to say about Afterplace, other than we’re glad to see the game coming to more platforms! As a one-man development team, Evan Kice announced a really great game that we had the pleasure of reviewing.

There are always mixed feelings when we see games moving from mobile to PC. Regardless, it’s good to see a game being received by a wider audience, but it also means we have to consider whether or not mobile is still viewed as secondary. But either way, the fact that more people are going to experience the afterplace can only be positive.

And in the meantime if you need something to occupy your time, and you’ve already had a chance to play Afterplace, then why not check out our list of the best mobile games of 2024 (so far) to see What is worth playing for?
