The Last of Us will run for several seasons. The first season will cover the whole game, but there will be some radical changes that will mix everything up and surprise viewers. Druckmann and Mazin both agreed to an interview with Hollywood Reporter that season 2 would then cover the whole of The Last of Us Part II.
Druckmann refuses to confirm whether the rumors that The Last of Us 3 was in development are true, but he warned players not to worry about insider information. According to the author of the game, I think there’s a more telling story. As soon as the show is going to continue, there will still be more material to go on, as Druckmann is keen to tell a story as far as I know it can be, but rather, it may be impossible to adapt the game a little more.
