    Sega has teamed up with Angry Birds developer Rovio to announce a new mobile game from the Sonic franchise, Sonic Rumble. Following the launch of Sonic Mania Plus for Netflix Games yesterday, it looks like Sega felt the time was right to drop another bomb on the mobile world with this brand new title. But what is Sonic Rumble all about?

    Well, for some people these next few words will be a deal breaker. great battle Yes, Sonic Rumble is a 32-person PvP experience where you race against others to collect the most rings. Okay so technically it’s like a race, but you get the picture. Released this winter, Sonic Rumble is the first major collaboration between Rovio and Sega since the former was bought out and positioned as the leader of the Japanese developer’s push into mobile.

    We’ll note that it’s also an odd coincidence that Sonic Rumble is the second toy-themed spin-off of a major franchise we’ve seen recently. and Warcraft Rumble too The title was Rumble, coincidence? Ah, maybe.

    For Rovio and Sega, this is going to be a litmus test of what we can expect from these two companies to work together. Admittedly, a multiplayer title is pretty ambitious, because it assumes you can get enough Sonic Mega fans. And Let them become battle royale ore game fans to keep them healthy. But go big or go home, it’s a big sign that Sega isn’t afraid to take advantage of Rovio’s extraordinary mobile talent.
