While much of the story of turn-based tactical role-playing game King Arthur: Legion IX is written, some key decisions must be made. Read on to find out whether or not you should open the Cursed Chest during the Tombs quest.

What happens if you open the Cursed Chest in King Arthur Legion IX?

Once you’ve completed the big battle in the southwest corner of the map in The Tombs, when you confront the Banshees, your mission will almost be over. If you follow the hallway leading out of the room to the north, you can complete the quest by heading west (towards the flag on the map above). However, a The passage also leads east. to a last optional room.

Upon entering the room you will find a sarcophagus that looks like a normal loot chest. However, when you click on it, you will find a Warning that the sarcophagus is cursed.. You are then advised not to disturb this place and you can open it or leave it alone. You can simply leave the room and finish the mission.

If you choose to open ityou will face a tough but winnable battle. Whether or not you decide to take on this battle will depend on whether you think the loot is worth it, since you’ve already earned the XP for the mission. If you win you will receive the Fulgora Lar (There is also a corpse in the room with 21 gold). Please note that this is the only chance to get it. It has the following stats if activated in your Lararium in Nova Roma:

    • Non-basic attack skills have a 10 percent chance per hit to create a chain lightning that affects 3 enemiesdealing 75 percent weapon damage and shocking them for 1 turn.
    • The lightning chain too Shock the hero for 2 turns.

A Shocked unit has 25 percent less AP, or 50 percent less if wearing heavy armor (this can be reduced by resisting the mental debuff). As with all Lars, this is a judgment call, but it’s the best you can come up with at this point in the game, so it’s worth the extra effort. There is no curse beyond having to fight a battle.

Check your party formation before starting the battle, because once it starts you will have two well armored melee units starting well next to your last row (see image above). They both also have the Revive ability, so you’ll want to deal with them decisively before the eight units in front of you become fully involved as well.

Three of the rearward units are Lost Crossbowmengiving the enemy some ranged leverage, while only the two Revenant units do not revive. The lost knight It’s only difficult due to his 7 armor, plus immunity to poison and bleeding. It also has mediocre melee AOE.

Since the Lost Knight is located to the right in a narrow hallway, place Octavian in the right front position of your 2-man column and move him to tank the Lost Knight. Wear Plutonium to chain the two units attacking from behind, then hit them (and the Lost Knight) with Albina’s Fire Strikes. Gaius should now be able to finish them off. Move Gavio forward and left and set up surveillance ready for the Revenants and have florian Take a few notches off the Lost Knight with his basic spear attacks.

    Turn 2 tactics

Fell You should be able to re-kill the two units that attacked from behind to prevent them from reviving. Gavio and florian You can take out the two Revenants and start dealing with the Lost Skirmisher coming up behind them. Once Octavian He has done all the damage he can to the Lost Knight, Plutonium I should be able to finish him off.

Is all albino It’s time to cast Fire Birds or switch to melee support with the Lost Skirmisher if you don’t have it. This ignores crossbowmen, who will do some damage to you, but I’ve found it’s best to deal with melee threats first. I also prefer to deal with the revive units immediately, as otherwise you will only prolong the battle. Furthermore, this is the last mission battleso as long as one of your units survives, you will return to camp and be fully restored.

    Turn 3 and 4 Tactics

It’s hard to tell where you’ll be on turn 3 due to the random nature of the Fire Birds. While Fell has eliminated the units that attacked from behind, move him as much as you can on the left flank (I like to use Jumping Attack to make him more mobile). Wear Octavian to finish off the Lost Knight forever (and prevent him from reanimating). If he has any left in the tank, you can add some damage to the final Lost Skirmisher.

Gavio can be sent towards the crossbowmen to draw fire, in case you don’t finish them off this turn, and then albino, florianand Plutonium It can deal as much ranged damage as possible to crossbowmen. The only exception to this should be that if you realize that I can’t eliminate the crossbowmen this turn.instead, focus all ranged efforts on units that would revive next turn.

If the battle continues in a fourth shift, you should now be able to eliminate the final crossbowmen. Remember that you only need to kill active units. As soon as you defeat the last active unit, any that are waiting to revive will be instantly destroyed.
