Rockstar Games will release the first trailer for its highly anticipated sequel to 2013’s Grand Theft Auto V, which became the highest-grossing entertainment product of 2018 so far, next month. As of August, Grand Theft Auto V has sold over 185 million copies since its release 10 years ago.
Official news of this trailer by Rockstar Twitter account A is followed by less than a day. Bloomberg Reports That said, Rockstar will reveal the sequel this week, possibly titled Grand Theft Auto VI or Grand Theft Auto 6, this week with a trailer coming next month. Since the release of this report yesterday, Rockstar has confirmed that the trailer for the next Grand Theft Auto will indeed be released in December.

The journey to reveal the next Grand Theft Auto hasn’t been a quiet one. In September of last year, unprecedented leaks gave fans a possible look at the sequel in more than 90 videos that showcased secret in-development footage of the open-world crime sequel. We also learned last year that the game will reportedly feature a female protagonist. Bloomberg says that this Grand Theft Auto V sequel is set in a fictionalized version of Miami and features a male protagonist alongside the aforementioned female protagonist.
