After revealing a few details, Pokémon TCG Japan’s high-class setVSTAR Universe has finally been released. VSTAR Universe is available in Japan in addition to a place that sells Japanese products. The basis for the early 2023 English-language special set that closed out the Sword & Shield era, the Crown Zenith. Unlike other special sets, VMAX Climax and Shiny Star V,Vstar Universe is a reprinting set with a wide swarm of rarest secret. These chase cards are the ones I thought was first and only an art – VSTAR, but which now reveal a single digit rarity. Pokemon TCG Japan has introduced new Art Rares and Special Art Rares, which riff on Character Rares and other special arts. Art Rares are Full Art cards with textures that paint unique scenes with Pokemon. The ‘characters’ are not meant to be very rare without trainers present. Next, Special Art Rares use that same concept to add the V or VSTAR mechanic. This set also includes Special Art Trainers and, for the first time ever, Gold Art VSTARs. This is the final game of Pokemon-V and VSTARs, as in 2023 the Scarlet and the Violet era will bring about the new game, the Pokémon ex mechanic is returning. The Low-Key Form of Toxtricity, as well as the Amped Form, are shown together in this bright card with a band of Pokemon. We have the problem, I guess? Rillaboom on drums of course. This one was byNelnal, who contributed his first contribution to this hobby to the show by the Duosion promo card. Nelnal looks like a contributor, but we’re going to see a lot more, as we already see this artist credited in a newly revealed Riolu Art Rare that will be in Japan’s Scarlet ex.
