In October 2022, Phasmophobia got into the Halloween spirit with its Apocalypse update. This update overhauled the player center and added collectible trophies. One of the most coveted trophies is completing the Apocalypse Challenge. Here’s what the challenge is and how to complete it.
How to complete the Apocalypse Challenge in Phasmophobia
To complete the Apocalypse Challenge, players must complete a solo hunt on the Sunny Meadows Mental Institution map while playing on a custom difficulty. Custom difficulty modifiers need to be increased to at least 15x, 20x, or 24x and higher. These will respectively award the bronze, silver, and gold trophies for the team room.

Once the custom difficulty has been set, players must complete all four objectives, alone, while getting a photograph of the ghost. It’s certainly a tall order, but one that dedicated ghost hunters will surely be up to. Sunny Meadows Mental Institution is not a walk in the park, so it is recommended to play several matches first to get used to the layout. After all, getting knocked out by the ghost during a hunt will end the race in disastrous fashion.
