For the annual Consumer Electronic Show (CES), Sony and Honda announced the Afeela, the first electric car born from collaboration between the two giants of Japan. In addition to being simple in transport, the car is a real entertainment center.
Sony’s previous statements suggest that while they already planned to make entertainment a central factor in the service offered by the car, the Sony and Hondas EV will let you play video games on the go. After the presentation of the CES 2023 keynote, the company gave a glimpse of Horizon Forbidden Westone of the most acclaimed PlayStation exclusives, on Afeelias backseat display and in Marvels Spider-Man more fleeting.
Izumi Kawanishi, president of Sony Honda Mobility, mentioned to a few times ago that the idea of utilizing the two companies’ electric car could help provide videogame entertainment in a way that was technically possible. Nevertheless, the project didn’t see such a thing as a simple side dish. That’s why Sony and Honda worked closely with Qualcomm, Unreal Engine and Epic Games to make Afeela a real smartphone car and to offer a virtual reality experience that has never existed in the automotive industry.
