MW2 and Warzone 2 July 24 update patch notes: Basilisk, X13, M4 nerfs

    The July 24 patch notes for MW2 and Warzone 2 are live and it’s safe to say update Has had a big impact on the overall meta.

    Unlike the July 19 update, this includes major weapon balance changes to the X13 Auto, Basilisk, M4, Cronen Squall, and more.

    The change to the akimbo secondary in particular was highly requested by the community when pistols were completely dominating close range.

    So, without further ado, let’s check out all the changes introduced in MW2 and Warzone 2’s July 24 patch notes.

    Warzone 2 weapon changes

    • Lachmann-556
      • Maximum damage decreased.
      • Mid-term damage increased.
      • Headshot multiplier decreased.
      • Neck multiplier decreased.
      • Decreased upper torso multiplier
    • M4
      • Decreased upper torso multiplier
      • Decreased lower torso multiplier
    • TAQ-56
      • Headshot multiplier decreased.
    • Tempus Razorback
      • Minimal damage increased.
      • Limb Multipliers increased.
    • Cronen Squall (Full Auto)
      • Maximum damage decreased.
      • Near-intermediate damage reduced.
      • Damage phase added to mid-range.
      • Minimal damage reduced.
      • Headshot multiplier decreased.
    • Basilisk
      • Fixed an issue with the Akimbo Snakeshot Basilisk where its damage profile was higher than intended.
    • FTAC siege
      • Maximum damage decreased.
    • X13 Auto
      • Fixed an issue that caused X13 Auto’s damage profile to be higher than intended.
      • Maximum damage decreased.
    • MX Guardian
      • Maximum damage decreased.
      • Near-intermediate damage reduced.
      • Medium damage decreased.
      • Mid-term damage is reduced.
      • Minimal damage reduced.
    • ISO 45
      • Fixed an issue with ISO 45 that caused the upper right leg damage to be less than intended.

    Warzone attachment change

    • KV Broadside
      • 12 Gauge Dragon’s Breath
        • Near-intermediate damage reduced.
    • MX Guardian
      • 12 Gauge Dragon’s Breath
        • Maximum damage decreased.
        • Near-intermediate damage reduced.
        • Medium damage decreased.
        • Maximum damage limit increased.
        • Increased close medium damage range.
        • Medium damage range decreased
        • Minimum damage threshold decreased

    Global bug fixes

    • Fixed an issue affecting some players receiving Battle Pass rewards correctly.
    • Fixed an issue where some players could not unlock Battle Pass.
    • Fixed an issue where the player could not access division rewards in Career and rewards in Warzone Ranked Play.
