With Raid Finder (LFR) now available in WoW Dragonflight, you might be wondering if it’s even worth taking part in. This is especially the case where you are already doing the Vaults of the Incarnate raid or buffing a path in Mythic+. Fortunately, we have all the information you need to answer this question.
Is LFR worth it in WoW Dragonflight?
The short answer is yes. LFR is worth it if you don’t already have the full set of class levels. Despite the fact that LFR gear drops are generally quite low, level pieces can still drop from their respective bosses, making LFR worth completing the separate lockdown. This is the main advantage, but there are other minor advantages to TRF as well.

Learning fights through TRF
TRF is a low risk, low pressure environment that allows you to learn the general aspects of each fight in the current raid. Only one wing of TRF is open, that is, the first four bosses, but over time, the other wings will open as well. Loot drops are on the lower side, and the chances of you getting the proper upgrades are low if you’ve been doing normal endgame content. But still, this is a plus.
Gear supplement via LFR
If you’re not one to do the typical endgame via Mythic+ or Normal+ raids, then the chances of you finding useful TFR gear are much higher, increasing its value. The gear that drops in LFR is still better than anything you’d find in heroic dungeons and probably higher than most drops you’d get from the overworld of Dragon Isles. On top of that, sometimes a major trinket is needed for his proper DPS. While trinkets are also affected by ilvl, their core abilities tend to stay the same, making the trip to LFR still valuable.
