On Tiderise Cliff in Wuthering Waves, there is an area full of chests and a puzzle that needs to be solved. Only one chest contains a valuable reward, so here’s how to tell which one does.
How to know which chest has a reward on Tiderise Cliff in Wuthering Waves
Before we begin, if you’re looking for where this puzzle is located, you can find it almost directly south of the Tiderise Cliff title on your world map, in a port-like location.
As mentioned, you’ll find a bunch of randomly assorted chests here, but you’ll only be able to open one after catching five fish and delivering them to the Treasure Shop Hostess, present there. However, if you just wander around opening random chests, it will take you forever to find the jackpot. Fortunately, there is a way to determine which chest holds the big prize.
Instead of opening random chests, head to the dock area and look for a Brown cat sitting in one of the corners. If you’re not sure where to look, here’s the cat’s location. Please note that since I already found the jackpot, you won’t see the cat in my reference screenshot, but I assure you it’s there.
Talking to this cat will give you the option to give him Meat. You want to do this because the cat will take you right to the chest with the big prize inside. If you’re not sure where to find meat, all you need to do is Hunt the various non-aggressive wild animals that roam the map.. Over time, you will get a piece of meat that you can use.
Give the meat to the cat and then follow it until you reach your prize. You’ll be handsomely rewarded with Astrite, among other minor trinkets.
