Eiyuden Chronicle Hundred Heroes – How to save the game
While there are many good things to say about the classic retro JRPG feel of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, the way the game save works is not one of them. Unfortunately, you can’t just save whenever you want and only have 20 save slots to play with.

There are two ways to save in Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes:
- Adventure Save Points: You will see them relatively frequently. They are floating mechanisms with a bright green disk on top (see image above). You’ll usually find them when you enter a quest area, on new maps within dungeons, and right before bosses.
- Taverns: Whenever you go to a tavern (whether it’s your own or a town or village), you can talk to the tavern owner (or Cassandra in your tavern) and save the game there.
It’s also easy to miss in the list of controls, but if you ever want to reload a different save, press Y to access the Loading and Settings Menuin addition to being able to exit the game.
