All enemies in Lords of the Fallen have a chance to drop an item after being defeated; The best items usually come from boss battles, such as weapons, armor, and ripped eyeballs. You don’t always get one item every time, as the drop rate in this game seems to be a low percentage. However, there are a few ways to increase item discovery and increase your chances of getting the loot you want. Keep reading below for all the details!

How to increase item drops in Lords of the Fallen

Certain enemies drop specific armor sets or items that you may be trying to farm. This can get frustrating very quickly if the enemy doesn’t drop items often enough. Fortunately, there are a few methods you can try to fix that problem:

Lucky Paws is a consumable item that can be used to increase item discovery. The effects only last a few minutes, but ensure that enemies will drop items more frequently. This makes it much easier to farm an enemy for items, as they will usually drop an item every time you kill them when using Lucky Paws.

While it may seem like you’re farming one difficult item to get others, having a good collection of Lucky Paws will make things easier for you in the future, so it’s worth taking a little time to try. The best place you can go to grow Lucky Paws is the Sanctuary of the remains of the bell tower hall.

There is only one Ardent Penitent enemy right at the entrance to the room, making it easy to rest and kill him over and over again as many times as necessary. It drops Lucky Paws periodically, along with some other loot items, so it may take some time, but it will be the easiest method of collecting.

The second method to increase item drops is to complete a Threshold Finisher. This is supposed to be a tried and true way to get an item almost every time you kill the enemy. Some players found it easier to use Soulflay to do this, but I found it easier to use a shield and time my blocks.

Basically, to do a Umbral finisher, you need to drain their white circle meter all the way down, which makes them wobble. To do this, you’ll want to reduce their health by at least half or a quarter, then use your Umbral Lamp to skin them, or you can try to stop them by blocking right when they hit. When they are staggering, they will fall to the ground, and the the circle will turn red. When the circle flashes red, you’ll want to press the button fast attack to make a finisher. This will usually kill them immediately if their health is low enough and will drop an item most of the time.

Try using these methods to get items more frequently while playing. It may still take you some time to collect a full set of armor or the right amount of currency you’re looking for, but it will be much faster than trying to farm without it. Good luck!
