Remedy Entertainment is releasing Alan Wake 2 next week, October 27th, and while there’s still time to replay Alan Wake (or play it for the first time) before the sequel comes out, October is a busy month. And you may not have the time. Alan Wake: Flashback can help, though, as it’s a new Fortnite creative experience that allows players to relive the mysteries and events of the first Alan Wake, albeit perhaps in a much shorter and more structured way. .
Epic Games says Alan Wake: Flashback is based on the first Alan Wake game and reimagines Remedy’s 2010 action thriller in Fortnite. “Troubled author Alan Wake searches for his missing wife, Alice,” reads a press release. “After her mysterious disappearance from the Pacific Northwest town of Bright Falls, she discovers the pages of a terrifying story she has written, but has no memory of.”

If you’re familiar with Alan Wake before, you can probably see that this Fortnite experience is meant to be a quick way to get somewhat caught up in the series before the release of Alan Wake 2 next week. Alan Wake: Flashback will be available on Fortnite’s Discover page, or you can search for it manually with the following Island Code: 3426-5561-3371.

Along with today’s news, Epic Games has revealed that the previously announced Alan Wake cosmetics will be coming to the Fortnite Item Shop on October 26th at 8pm ET. There, you’ll find the Alan Wake outfit as well as other in-game cosmetics that are part of the “Waking Dreams” set.
Players who purchased Alan Wake 2 on the Epic Game Store before October 27 (specifically 11:59 pm ET) will receive both the Alan Wake outfit and Alan’s Messenger Bag back billing in Fortnite starting October 10. will
