Naaber is an annoying NPC that can be found in Act 3 of Baldur’s Gate 3. He appears, follows your party and talks non-stop, and is generally a nuisance. This overly talkative and excited adventurer wants to be like you, but there has to be a way to get rid of him, right?

Once you pick him up at Carm’s Garm in Act 3, he tends to stick to your party like glue. Fortunately, there are several ways to get Naaber to leave you alone in BG3, and most of them are pretty kind to the rowdy adventurer. Here are all the ways I’ve found to get rid of this infamous, talkative Kathy.

    Kill Naaber

If you want to enjoy the evil side of Baldur’s Gate 3, you can always remove it. Nabber may be a grown man, but he doesn’t pose much of a challenge. A well-placed hit will clear him of him, and while it will make Carm think less of your party, in my experience, it won’t make the guards call you.

    Listen to Naaber

Just talk to him; He’s talkative and a bit goofy, but if you simply interact with him, Naaber will soon leave your party alone. Be kind; Tell him that he needs to follow his dreams or tell him to have a different dream and he will back down and leave his group alone. If you talk through all of his dialogue and keep talking to him until he disappears, he’ll even give you some XP and an amulet for your troubles.

Travel fast or leave Carm’s Garms

The easiest way to get rid of it is to just leave; You can’t keep up with him by traveling fast and he won’t get very far from the clothing store. Just walk down the street and he will be gone. And avoid that store. Forever.

    Knock out Naaber

Use the Passive menu in the action bar at the bottom of the screen to activate Non-Lethal Attacks, then hit Naaber with a melee weapon. He will be alive, but knocked out, and you can buy clothes in peace without killing unnecessarily.
