What are Shadow Briefings in Fortnite?
Shadow briefings are a new feature that debuted in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2. They basically look like a mini computer placed in a small briefcase through which you can complete a variety of objectives and earn rewards.
You will find five different types of Shadow Briefings in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2:
- Bounty Shadow Briefings – Like Bounty Boards, this particular briefing requires you to eliminate a specific player marked on the map.
- Parallel supply briefings – Spawns a nearby supply drop that you must loot within a set time displayed on the screen. As is tradition, you will be rewarded with rare weapons and essential supplies if you manage to open the supply drop within the time limit.
- Shadow Treasure Briefings – This report marks two different locations on the map where you will find buried treasure containing essential loot.
- Vehicle shadow briefings – Spawns a nearby vehicle, which you must find and then drive a certain distance within the given time. Completing the objective will reward you with many gold bars.
- Information about wax wings – It is a race that requires you to reach a series of checkpoints using flying wings. Unfortunately, you cannot find this Shadow Briefing after the Fortnite Elemental Shrines update.

To accept a Shadow Briefing, simply interact with the minicomputer and press the ‘ buttonAccept‘icon indicated by a check mark. To complete the last weekly task, you must complete the objective a total of eight times. Once you do that, the mission will be marked as completed and you will receive 10,000 XP for your efforts.
