Following the success of The Mimic and Apeirophobia, another horror/survival experience has joined the Roblox platform:doors. Since its debut in August 2022, Doors has taken the Roblox platform by storm, becoming the second fastest experience to acquire over a billion views, doing so in just three months of being active. In this experience, players must maneuver and ultimately escape a haunted hotel by sneaking, running, solving puzzles, and most importantly, evading monsters. One of these monsters, Screech, has become so popular in the Doors fandom that he received his own limited edition plush.
Oringally teased through a cryptic cheep from the official Doors Twitter account on December 16, 2022, the Screech plush was completely user-funded in do and reached his target monetary goal in just 22 minutes—20 days before the end of the campaign. Screech was then released for sale and pre-order from December 23, 2022 to January 13, 2023.

However, on January 12, 2023, just one day before the campaign closed forever, Doors tweeted that availability had been extended by two more weeks, and now ends on January 29, 2023. Due to the massive success of Screech’s campaign, the company also tweeted about the possibility of another plush toy soon, asking its fans which entity they’d rather see. like a stuffed animal–seek or figure.
It’s not known exactly when this next plushie will debut, but considering the support Screech has received, it’s likely to arrive soon.
