One of the craziest bugs to hit the Destiny 2 community is upon us and it’s directly deleting character data. That means players have been forced to start from scratch. This has instilled a widespread fear of turning on the game only to find that all information has been wiped out of existence. However, whenever there’s a bug, there’s usually some kind of workaround. So, we scoured the internet to find out exactly how to fix Destiny 2 character deletion error.

How to fix Destiny 2 character deletion error
Unfortunately, there is no way to fix the problem on your own. You can try resetting your internet connection or turning your gaming hardware of choice on and off, but ultimately you’ll need to support Bungie by talking to them on their Bungie Help Site or posting in the Destiny 2 Reddit Forum. A community manager will contact you to go through the necessary steps to begin the time-consuming process of restoring your character.
It is incredibly important to note that you should not attempt to create a new character during this period of time. This could accidentally erase Bungie’s ability to restore your previous character and ruin all your hard work. If you’re afraid to log into your account only to face the worst, we recommend switching to disposable charging before logging out next time. That way, you won’t have to worry about losing any of your rolls because it’s all stored in your vault.
