Dead by Daylight brings the world of DnD into the fog in a new licensed chapter

Many Killers and Survivors have been dragged into the mist, many of them from famous and beloved horror franchises. But I don’t think any addition has been as surprising or exciting as a licensed DnD chapter.

While the original DBD chapters have a special place in my heart, I have to admit that Behavior Interactive has surpassed it with each licensed chapter. From the first chapter with Michael to Alien and Chucky, and even Nick Cage (my absolute favorite), they’ve featured some cool assassins with cool mechanics, fun survivors, and unique maps.

It’s safe to say that I expect nothing less than pure fun when the DBD DnD chapter comes out. The world of Dungeons & Dragons is huge and there are many opportunities and lore for developers to play with.

I’d love to see a mind flayer briefly take control of a Survivor, for example. I’m not sure how that mechanic would work, but it could be similar to Deathslinger’s shotgun or Pinhead’s chains while dragging you around. And I know it would also be a pretty impossible feat, but I would love to see a Dragon protecting the generators as if it were his treasure. Add to that flying and the possibility of an air attack; He would be hiding in the lockers, too intimidated to do anything.

While there are no details on the chapter and what exactly we’ll get with it, I know I’ll be happy with almost anything since it’s DnD.

What is the release date for Dead by Daylight Dungeons and Dragons?

So far, Behavior has not revealed a release date for its newest chapter. All we know is that Dungeons & Dragons is the next chapter in the series based on the trailer. However, keep in mind that Dead by Daylight will have a big anniversary livestream on May 14 at 11 a.m. ET.

We usually get a lot of big plans and roadmap from the studio during the streams, so I’m sure we’ll get more details about their future plans and the DnD chapter later.
