Blizzard Entertainment revealed three new World of Warcraft expansions during BlizzCon 2023 this weekend, starting with The War Within, which launches next year. Midnight will follow in the new Worldsoul saga, which the studio is calling “an ambitious creative endeavor for the Warcraft universe,” and will be followed by the release of The Last Titan. Together, Within War, Midnight, and Last Titan make up the Worldsoul saga.

“Deep beneath the surface, an ancient Nairobian civilization is rising to power, aided by Xal’atath, the harbinger of the void, first introduced in the Legion expansion,” a press release states. The press release reads. “Players will need to enlist the help of the Earthen, a new allied race available to Horde and Alliance players, as they make their way deeper and discover a whole new world that has existed for centuries and whose inhabitants are preparing for conflicts that are looming on the horizon.”

Within The War, which is slated to launch sometime in 2024, Blizzard says the level cap will be increased to 80 as players level up in new zones like the Isle of Dorn with enemies, loot, new allies, and more. And explore a lot more. Ringing Deeps, the bright and lush Halofall, and Easy Kahit, the pinnacle of Nairobian society.

In-Battle will also introduce Delos to the game. These are expandable global instances for 1 to 5 players and experience earned in them contributes to a new reward track in the Grand Vault for global content players.

“New Hero Talents for each class specialization will give players a way to advance their characters with evergreen self-build talent trees based on iconic archetypes from the Warcraft universe, such as Mountain Thanos for Warriors or Hunters for Hunters.” Classes inspired by Dark Ranger, also infuse the fantasy flavor,” reads a press release. “With Warbands, players can enjoy full account progression with all characters in their Battle.net account, regardless of faction, including shared in-battle reputation, a warband bank, achievements, and more. Also, a new change to the Transmog collection lets players learn the appearance of any gear, even if they’re not equipped.”
