When it comes to games we sometimes get ones that make really big promises, and then there’s BlackBeacon. A recently announced mobile game that is making some big promises, is also set for a big rollout in over 80 countries on the iOS App Store and Google Play.
Want to see what we mean? Just read it, “Black Beacon isn’t just another mobile game — it’s a masterpiece that promises to transport players into an immersive subculture universe. With characters that are visually stunning and the past and With a narrative that spans the present, Black Beacon offers exhilarating action and a deep, rich story that keeps players engaged.”
It’s definitely something, but can it deliver? Well, after taking a look Black Beacon trailer We can’t fault it for its design, but we’re not sure if this gacha action role-playing game can live up to such promises.
What is this?
From what we can tell, Black Beacon works as a top-down action role-playing game, not unlike Diablo. The designs certainly look phenomenal, and we can’t deny the simple, visceral visual joy of unleashing flashy moves on hordes of enemies.
However, we’re also not sure it’s doing anything to stand out from these designs. This kind of hack-n-slash gameplay can be a little silly when done wrong, but is a lot of fun when done right. But you’ll soon be able to decide for yourself, as the Black Beacon is set to hit storefronts soon.
