With the introduction of Fortnite Festival, within Epic’s rhythm game chart-topping Battle Royale, there’s more incentive than ever for musicians to add their own analogies to the game. The latest among these artists is Billie Eilish, who announced his collaboration with the game. on social media earlier today.
Elish isn’t just adding skin to the game (eg EminemFor example), he’s the next headliner for the Fortnite Festival’s main stage event, which kicks off tomorrow, April 23. It includes a set of artist-specific rotating songs in which players can compete for high scores, as well as unlocked skins, songs, instruments, and other cosmetics, though unlocking them all costs a pricey 1,800 V- Purchase of Buck Festival Pass required. The previous headliners were Saturday And Lady Gaga.
Eilish recently made headlines for winning a Grammy, Golden Globe, and Oscar for “What Was I Made For” from the Barbie movie, a feat she’s now accomplished twice. Even more recently, he announced his upcoming album Hit Me Hard and Soft, which is likely his main marketing incentive to get into the game.
