    Games like to put you directly in control of the hero, but there are times where you’re more of a spectator or guardian angel if that helps. This loop provides an idea for Hero’s setup, which is an unusual combination of adventure RPG and management where you have little input on the hero’s actions. The story is set in a world that has been mostly wiped out by the entity known as the Lich. For some reason, a hero has managed to withstand the erasure and exist within an infinite time loop in a fixed area. He can still attack, but won’t do so until he’s maxed out the number of skeletons he can currently summon. It should also be noted that the Necromancer has a magical shield that instantly recharges between battles and absorbs all damage. As a result, this class is less likely to get gear that grants Reign or Vampirism. It starts with four equipment slots: a grimoire, two rings, and an amulet.

    Grimoire is primarily used to boost skeleton stats, rings can boost a mix of stats, and amulets mostly affect the power of magic shields. Once you build an arsenal, the Necromancer will have the option to equip a shield for extra defense and other possible boosts.

    Of all the classes, the Necromancer has the least progression since most of the gear is geared towards his skeleton rather than himself. To help with this, you want to take on tougher enemies than Slimes, Rat Wolves, and Spiders. Farming them can yield more options for early boosts and instant landscape bonuses.

    The main stats you need to worry about are Skeleton Level and Summoning Quality. The former determines the overall strength of your skeleton while the latter determines what type of skeleton you can summon. As such, prioritize quality as it will increase your chances of summoning stronger variants from Warriors to Mages.

    This should be followed by a level as your skeletons will prove to be quite weak after a few loops and the weaker they are, the less time it will take to attack them. That being said, one really rare stat you should keep an eye out for is Max Skeletons which allows you to fill the field as much as possible. The more skeletons you have on the field, the more enemies will target instead of the Necromancer.

    In terms of defense, constantly check amulets for boosts to magical armor and rings to help the Necromancer last longer. Attack speed is very important as it affects how quickly the necromancer can summon skeletons onto the field. Regen is also important because it’s one of the few passive ways he can regenerate health. Finally, stealth can be very easy when you’re still building your skeleton army.
