If you have missed the Deep analysis of the Xbox showcase In Avowed (an upcoming fantasy RPG set in the same universe as the Pillers of Eternity games), there are many interesting features in the game, but the best one is the third-person gameplay.

You’ll embark on a quest from Emperor Aedyr to investigate the scourge of dreams in the Living Lands, forging your own lore while making some crucial story decisions. However, before you start playing, you will need to decide whether you want to play in first person or in the confirmed third person game mode.

First person is a little more immersive for me, while third person allows for a better perception of the area around you. It all depends on your preferences and it is really amazing that you have the option to choose what you like in this game.

While Avowed is not a sequel to Pillars of Eternity, there are connections between the two games. Inquisitor Lodwyn, a supporting character from the Lost Dues in Good Fait quest in Deadfire, now appears to play a larger role in Avowed.

In both parts of Pillars of Eternity, you could play as a god (a member of any species whose soul was touched by one of the gods). It is true that the Divine takes center stage since your character is one. They usually have a physical manifestation of this feature on their face and head, which you can adjust. I’m very excited to see all the options.

Obsidian Studios also paid homage to its Pillars of Eternity origins in the story trailer, showing us some beautiful isometric shots of the world of Eora. Hopefully, we’ll get to see some of them in the Avoced scenes as well.
