Two of Unknown Tales and The New Zealand’s Wildboy Studios revealed the date for The Death of the Elder Tree. The game is being teased and on for the second half of 2022, but now let’s say it’ll be completely released on January 27th, 2023. Now, there is a playable demo of the game in the Steam page, where you can see what he does with the story and how to try it. “The Gods left Midgard. With a wealth of famine and the mythical beasts and beings growing, it now is roting from the inside, shrugged by unknown forces. Odin’s appointed guardians of the realm have left. In their absence, the sacred Elder Tree they swore to protect is exposed to abuse and manipulation. The only hope of this week is Estra, who was the first of the world’s greatest leaders. With emphasis on narrative, Estra’s journey through Midgard is full of Nordic lore, mysterious twists and consequential decisions. As she learns more about her family’s past and the looming darkness, players will have an opportunity to converse with a variety of characters.
“Estra’s path is full of difficult decisions and untrustworthy characters that can lead her astray. Her story is contrasting with the player’s ability to know fact by fiction and decide right from wrong. Be careful and seek justice and help the people. Observe that Estra needs to take control of the consequences. Along the way, the players have to solve gradual, challenging puzzles that reveal revealing secrets, fantastical abilities, and hidden passageways. Some trial and error is useful, but patience is necessary. Not every problem is different and failure is all-natural. If you turn a wrong way, the answer you seek may be lost. Combat at the Heart of the Elder Tree is a delicate dance of sword and axe. Combat is founded on rhythm. It is based on musical instruments such as the guitar, a drum and a dance revolution. Music is a crucial component, but the fight gets to own its own song.
