Camerupt has the Fire/Ground Type, two very strong offensive Types in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. She has slightly higher Special Attack and Special Defense than his Attack and Defense, but she can use physical and special moves very well. Defensively, it can take a lot of damage from Water-type moves, but it also has a good amount of HP and an ability that will drop super effective damage. Camerupt is a Fire/Earth Write with two normal Skills and one Hidden Skill. When in the overworld you will have either magma armor either solid rock. Magma Armor will prevent the Pokemon from freezing, while Solid Rock will reduce super effective damage dealt to it by 25%. His hidden ability is point of anger and will max out its Attack stat when hit with a critical hit. It has a decent movepool, but is extremely slow unless used on a Trick Room team. How to Counter Camerupt in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
There are plenty of counters to Camerupt due to almost all Pokemon being able to learn Water and Ground moves. Having one of the better Water-type Pokemon in the player’s party is by far the easiest way to counter Camerupt. gyarados it is one of the best options to use against Camerupt due to its Typing. It is immune to Ground-Type moves like a Flying-Type Pokemon and will take half the damage from Fire attacks due to its Water-Type. It also has slightly less defense than the special defense, which makes Gyarados perfect given how high its attack stat is.
