Since its beginning in 2023, the OLED gaming monitor has been hit with a huge boost. Acer introduced two new models in the commonly regarded Predator series X27U and X45, both of which received OLED screens with a resolution of 1440p. Compared to the larger versions, the bigger version has a curved display. The announcement took place just before the opening of the CES.

The X45 surely makes a bigger impression because it uses a very good display size. The resolution is 3440 1440 pixels, which is fairly standard for the use of this computer. Experienced users will be amazed with the curvature of the 800R screen. Those monitors have a much tight scope, and competitors like Dell and Asus still prefer to offer options with large curvature coefficient, so they don’t make them more curved.

OLED panel displaying 98.5% of the DCI-P3 color space is capable of using its full display rate 240 Hz. The peak brightness is at 1500 meters. The response time is 0.10ms, which should be enough for most games and software / the most complex. The model is compatible with AMD FreeSync and has an integrated USB Type-C KVM switch for rapid switching the signal source from a laptop to an office computer.

The X27u is a much smaller, budget-friendly item with a resolution of 440 1440 pixels. While the novelty is almost identical to the same technology and connectivity.

Both monitors have thin bezels and tripod stands. When sales start in the second quarter of 2023, prices in China will be little earlier for retail than in other countries. The Predator X27U will cost 1 099 dollars, while the X45 will cost 1 699 dollars.
