It wasn’t a mystery that a new VALORANT map was launched in the city and Riot released some visuals to tease its release. Even though it is hard to understand what’s happening in this regard, a new and brief tease will come out on January 5, 2023.
In the new season, things have changed considerably.
The new year means the new season, but for VALORANT, Riot has decided to make some major changes in 2023. First, the company decided to nerf the glass before the end of 2022. The map pool was exempt from last year’s map pool, as well as a new map was on its way in 2023. Bind and Breeze will be disqualified while the new map and Split will replace them. We still don’t know how that new map looks. Riot Games has been teasing some visuals on social media which are potentially hints related to the new map.

Riot shared three visuals so far, and they clearly didn’t come out of the actual map. In the first half we saw FDR from behind, as well as a city where the rain was looming at night. Secondly, the branches of Omen and Sage are in a lab and Omen is cutting leaflets in a plant. The last video shows a city at night, with people eating street food. Each piece indicates that a new map may have originated in the city at night.
VALORANT has become one of the famous games since its release in 2020. Since Riot Games failed its predecessors, it became one of the most waited games. Now, the community has a huge crowd. The game had only three maps in beta, so we could exclude the practice map, The Range. VALORANT has nine maps now even though some of them aren’t available for the player. The players will have seven maps with additions to two. Haven, Ascent, Icebox, Fracture, and Pearl will still be in the pool both the professional and the regular.
What will the new map bring?
The new map is going to very much influence the game style of many players. Some VALORANT agents are useful in certain maps, and players will map out the best possible combinations for the new map, and also the best weapons used to use them. Once everyone knew about bomb sites, and then became aware of the best agent to play on it. Split is an ancient map that everyone thought about — tig a realism and it has the obvious distinction.
These changes are most important to the VALORANT esports scene, as tactics and comps obviously are very important to professional athletes. Coaches must start learning different strategies to get their teams to victory at chess and to find a way to win chess. According to the information, another visual will be posted on January 5th and it is expected that the new map will be full on January 10.
