In June 2022, Xbox had a large show, where they revealed several new IPs and sequels, many of which pushed through Game Pass later in 2022 and in 2023. Since 2023, it’s been over six months since we updated how many games we can expect to come out in big cities like Starfield, Redfall, and Minecraft Legends.
When does New Game Pass Games get an Release Date?
Although we did play like Pentiment, High on Life, and Grounded on Game Pass in 2022, we are eagerly looking for the future, but when we can expect the next round of heavyhitters, then we’re thinking about what happens. Happily for us, a release date for many games on Game Pass will soon be announced.
The @XboxGamePass said on Twitter that everything is going to go soon. If this tweet is cryptic, it will mean we’re going to make an announcement that would give us an update on when we expect 2023 games from last June showing to be the date of the contest.

Obviously, since the tweet is very cryptic, there is no date for an Xbox show that’ll update us on the scheduled 2023 and possibly games planned for 2024. That tweet might suggest an Xbox showcase is not happening soon, but we can expect to just bring out the planned 2023 games fairly soon. Maybe the studios that manufacture the upcoming games will reveal their release dates independently.
The big games we want to see a release date for are Starfield, Redfall, Minecraft Legends, Forza Motorsport, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, and Ark 2, all of which are coming to Game Pass Day 1. Though there are lots of really interesting and exciting games on the 2023 Game Pass list, especially games on that we would like to include an update like Flintlock and Cocoon, we would only enjoy knowing when to expect these six games of the heavy duty.
For now, we’ll go check out Atomic Heart, a day one Game Pass game that we know it’s going to be February 21, 2023 and looks absolutely amazing.
