In Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Anakin Skywalkers Jedi Padawan has seen limited live-action appearances since her introduction to Star Wars. It’s going to be difficult, as long as we have a live-action TV show focusing on Ahsoka.
Disney announced its slate of TV shows on the streaming platform. We saw the Loki Season 2 and Peter Pan & / Wendy and the ongoing Mandalorian series. With a short clip of the trailer, fans first glanced at the highly anticipated Ahsoka TV show.
The short scene marks the first time we’re seeing actual video from the upcoming series. The trailer shows off what a character was for Ahsoka Tano, playing by Rosario Dawson. It’s good, but some fans will surely whine at her part in the trailer. Hope you get a more specific trailer for Ahsoka soon.
This very brief image from the trailer shows Dawson clearly looks amazing. Lucasfilm did an amazing job with his makeup and costume design.
This is the first time we see a profile shot of Dawson as the Togruta Jedi Ahsoka for the series. A movie from the series that will take place in the middle of the year will be shown this year at the Star Wars Celebration. However, the video merely showed Ahsoka and Hera Syndulla’s back.
What’s that about the Ahsoka series?
Rosario Dawson will start reprising his role as Ahsoka.
The plot details for Ahsoka have been made public at Lucasfilm. We may speculate that she’s on the hunt for and defeating Grand Admiral Thrawn.
Thrawn was a major astrologer in Star Wars Rebels and the commander of the Seventh Fleet. Ahsoka mentioned that she was hunting down the Grand Admiral during her duel with Morgan Elsbeth in the Mandalorian.
By the end of Star Wars Rebels, Thrawn and Ezra Bridger walked into hyperspace defending their battle against the Chimaera I-Class-Star Destroyer. Ahsoka hunt for Thrawn may mean that Ezra survived the battle with the ship.
Dave Filoni will lead the Ahsoka TV series as a writer and showrunner. Jon Favreau and Kathleen Kennedy will get into the show alongside Filoni.
Ahsoka is going to be streaming on Disney in 2023.
Peter Ramsey, the Academy Award-winning director, will be directing at least one episode of the series. Ramsay was awarded the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature on his own for Spider-Man: The Man of the Wild.
Hayden Christensen will reprise his role as an Anakin Skywalker for the TV series. Natasha Liu Bordizzo will portray Sabine Wren in the Disney+ series. Eman Esfandi is set to play Ezra Bridger in the show.
Ahsoka is set to premiere on Disney in 2023.
