Developer Wētā Workshop and publisher Private Division have announced the first trailer for Tales of the Shire, the casual Middle-earth/Lord of the Rings-inspired game announced last year, coming later this month. More specifically, we’ll finally get a good look at the Shire in a new trailer on April 22.
As expected, Wētā Workshop has shared little about the game beyond that. Early reveal teaser. We know the game promises players to live their best comfortable life, and that looks great on its own, but we’re excited to see what it entails from a gameplay standpoint. If I had to guess, Tales of the Shire would fall somewhere between a life sim and a farming sim, something similar to Animal Crossing but with hobbits.
Luckily, we won’t have to wait long to find out as the first trailer for Tales of the Shire arrives on Monday, April 22.
