Tips for Surviving as a Psyker

Learn to scramble well! Get a double sword, and learn to switch when threatened! You can zap enemies with your staff, and still switch to your saber and block when you hear backstab.

Your extra staff won’t clear the pox walkers very well, so if they rush you, you’ll have to get your hands dirty. I usually start with a push to create breathing room, then start cutting.

Thankfully the saber is fast enough that you can push most opponents with it as you move around the crowd, making sure you attack the group every couple of times, as your attacks will only hit one enemy. will stun, while the push will affect anyone directly in front. you

Keep listening to the backstab indicator, because eventually you’ll find some stragglers behind you that your team missed. Blocking will protect you in 360 degree angle.

With Saber’s insane attack speed you won’t have to dodge very often, unless you’re surrounded by a Rager.

With the addition staff you need a good position to be useful and alive.

Depending on your team, you’ll often have to move towards groups of shooters to stun them before they become a threat.

Unless you have an aggressive front-liner on your team (mostly a zealot), this will make you a target. Move in such a way that they don’t catch your eye! If you need to charge or block your staff, duck behind cover so you don’t become a target!

Dodging will probably play a big role here, as there’s a muzzle flash effect when the shooter hits you, so you’ll know it’s time to dodge. You can also dodge sniper shots. They have a similar, more pronounced flash with a sound effect before firing.
