Toss a coin to your fellow Witcher because its time to enter the Witcher world again. Since we have better performance, better quality of life, and more recent improvements, we dive into the next-gen update only to understand what next-gen is, exactly.

Kings die, Realms ashes, But Magic stops.

When The Witcher 3 was released in 2015, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. Since I was only an Xbox player at that time and saw that as the third iteration in the franchise, I thought I’d be a bit lost in the story and world. It’s very rare that you enter a franchise elongated into a release that was essentially its series finale. Despite this, CD Projekt Red somehow managed to make a most welcoming game for new and old players.

It did this by creating a beautiful world filled with lore and discovery, while smelling us with a superb and well-written story that would fit into a role-playing game. The character is full, with untouchable depth, but an even more realism.

I was able to see the story unwind in the Witcher 3 as like a book. The book that had you hooked the moment you started, and which one he would look up for a few seconds, didn’t mean to realize hours passed by. It was a really solitary game, a game only once in a generation. That was seven years ago, and sometimes time when you read a story, you realize that the point of having a new game isn’t all that is up to you, or that there’s some kind of decline. A revisiting the Witcher 3 has only made us realize that it was the day of a very important book. To that day I still really like to say that it holds the gold standard of what a role-playing game should be.

I often play those massive open-world games where towers and extraposts are littered in order to keep players engaged. In The Witcher 3, I’m not so, as the CD Projekt Red utilises the vast open world to its full extent, making this such a living world more like a inhabited space. You won’t ever be in a city whose name is exactly the same as the last one, as you’ll learn that even minor characters are blooming with character.

While The Witcher 3 has a large overarching plot that looms over the whole game, it is the smaller stories you find at a time that make a difference to your lives.

The battle fought with precision. Because of that, many are made to be fetch quests. That’s not the case with The Witcher 3, since the side-quests all were designed to tell their own stories. From a town that was in a spirit, werewolves terrorised the locals, listened to the crime scene and shook the eye of the Romance and rocked people. There are tons of resources you can find in the side-quests so you may find that you’re in a bad mood a lot more than half an hour before completing the main quest.

We also like to know that the two expansions are included in the complete edition upgrade — both of which span over 15 hours each, and an even better story than the main campaign. And honestly, this is like a game that you could play forever and never get bored of. The Witcher III is easily one of the most captivating experiences I have ever played.

As with many, you’re probably wondering what this next-gen update is about. As is the name of the name, it is an updated version of the last-gen version of The Witcher 3, built for a current-gen console, and the latest in PC gaming. This may not seem much, but once you look at the changes with this update and the graphical changes, you realize that CD Projekt RED has pulled all the stops to make this release a little special.

For starters, for the PS5, there’s a performance mode and a level level. For long-time fans, a performance mode has been sought out since the first release of the game in 2015, and as one would expect, The Witcher 3 now plays at 60 frames-a-sea in a silky smooth manner.

It may appear very unlikely since it’s introduced to a new console, but since the scope of The Witcher 3 rivals many new titles a new title is a absolute game changer. Although in terms of the graphical improvements, such as higher resolution and a massive increase in texture quality, performance mode is a very effective way of creating a movie for the Witcher 3.

The other way, quality, offers ray-trace illumination, a better resolution and a world reflection. Differences are surprisingly different day and night when you compare two scenes together.

Unfortunately, this mode does not cost the performance, so it turned down the frame rate to 30FPS. It’s quite like playing the last game, although it can sometimes be worse. What you like all depends on your personal preferences; not only is 60PS a secret to the general public, but it can sometimes be shaky.

The results are pretty, but I’m hopeful that CD Projekt Red can improve the stability. If we ever had a toggle of some type that made cutscenes play in quality while gameplay plays in performance, the quality mode had been a real shine, because characters are real-life characters and shortscenes. There are only areas open to tourists that notice those dips.

Visuals aren’t the only thing that can improve with the next-gen update, as CDPR took the opportunity to address several key issues that long-time players had. This update offers many improvements, including a better map, a better filter, a new camera for cinematic feel, improved gameplay which allows fast casting from the very best of community communities and even some modifications that implement some of the community’s most best creations, such as HD monster reworks and others.

Even though new players don’t notice, those returning or wanting to return will have many reasons. The improvements have an enormous effect, so they’re worth re-experiencing. This version of The Witcher 3 is the best game that people could play to date.

    Verdict

One of the best games of the last generation and one of the most popular was The Witcher 3: Wild Hunts next-gen update and port. This is making what many consider to be a perfect game even better. For the new players, they will learn much from each other, only by presenting the entire story with one complete twist. If that’s the case for the old players, this update give you a perfect excuse to invest over a thousand of hours.
