We’ll try My Time at Sandrock to start on January 12th. It will run for a week, that’s from January 12 to 19 and the full update will go live in Early Access in early 2023 if testing goes well. It’s still a bit late than what we were told initially, but now given the circumstances surrounding those developers, it’s understandable.

If you participated in multiplayer events that will be available in this playtest, you will win amazing early access rewards that can be traded later, which is a pretty nice bonus. Basically, you’ll get expensive cosmetics or things like that, and the developers will get valuable information that they can use to improve the multiplayer game.

As with access to multiplayer, if you own My Time at Sandrock, you can select multiplayer once the game is started. After that, you’re in The Builders Plaza. You can invite up to three friends for 4 players in the match. Together you can start working, build, dive, and fight into dungeons.

The storyline of a multiplayer game is how to navigate the Sandrocks with a compressed version of history, thanks to a technology invented by Dr. Qi. The game will have familiar faces and historical events which you can see as well as familiar players from both players who can meet. That’s an interesting idea.

During the Open Playtest, new monsters, seeding and attachment systems, a city management system was added and the number of trade’s maximum increased. As soon as you progress, you will be able to unlock more multiplayer missions and a new feature, so new content will always be included.
