In the interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Wednesday creators Al Gough and Miles Millar discussed plans for a sequel to the show.
According to them, viewers can expect the growth of Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) relationship with her mother, Morticia (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and her high school friend, Enid (Maga Myers).
In the future, we want to investigate and complicate these relationships. After they left the school, we had big options for the second season. It would also be interesting to observe the relationship between Wednesday and Morticia, said Gough.
Netflix hasn’t officially renewed Wednesday yet. The media expect the second season to be announced early next year. Sources have previously said that Gough and Millar have begun to form a writing team for new episodes.
On November 23rd, it debuted on streaming. In one month, the project became the second most popular English-language series in the history of the service, second to Stranger Things.
