As a result, EA has used the statistics to make 2022 better, The Sims 4, Apex Legends, and FIFA 23 its biggest games.
As 2022 finishes, Sony isn’t the only gaming company that is reflecting on the year by unveiling a digital retrospective. EA has also done its annual recap to share its own stats.
As you can see in the past 12 months, EA has gotten bigger and more popular in the world. The pity of the company is also, although ironically, an important part of its success can beattributed to The Sims 4, which aired almost 10 years ago in 2014.
It is quite old, yet it is still not uncommon to enjoy this game, the player-base actually spending their lives alone a lot of money on it. It isn’t in general, but in 2022.
With that, EA says 18 % more Sims characters were created this year than 2021. The Sims 4 has grown in popularity and popularity have gone on with time.
That can at least partially cause the game to go free and play – it is still possible, even though that only happened in September. Around the same time, EA pledged to give it more DLC packs, knowing what the game is in popularity.
It makes sense since the next iteration of The Sims currently called Project Rene is still very early in the development process and is at least a few years away from the launch date.
It took a little less than a glance: that the EAs FIFA series remains its most popular sport franchise, it was likely emboldened by the launch of FIFA 23 just a few months before the World Cup.
I’m curious to see whether the series’ momentum will continue in 2023, since the FIFA 23 game is the last that has to use the FIFA license. Going forward, this is an exclusive name to the European Sports Academy (EA), whilst FIFA’s 24 league has new partners.
Apex Legends is the most popular non-sports franchise, although it hasn’t much of a hit in the game as a player statuary guideline. Apart from the fact that GG was used over 9 million times in the game alone in September.

2023, however, is already a big year for EA. In the last few months, it’s a remake from Dead Space, a brand-new IP in Wild Hearts, and the long-awaited Jedi sequel that awaits release.
